Swanton – William “Bill†S. Girard, age 23, passed on to the Lord February 16th, 2010, seeking peace in his life. Bill was the loving son of Timothy and Kathy Girard of Swanton and was born February 25th, 1986. He graduated from Missisquoi Valley Union High School in 2004. Bill’s life was filled with much love and companionship from his best friend, and dog, Banelly. He was an honorable young man bound by duty, honor and brotherhood growing up and spending time volunteering for the Swanton Village Fire Department. Besides his parents, William is survived by his older brother, James, and his wife, Lyndi, of Belmont, NH, and their twin boys, Ethan and Benjamin. Billy also leaves his paternal Aunt and Godmother, Lori Girard-Pion, and her husband, Richard, of Swanton. Bill leaves his maternal Grandmother and Grandfather, Pat and Carl Adams, of Lebanon, NH. He was predeceased by his loving Paternal Grandparents, James Edward Girard in March of 2004 and Betty Jane Girard in March, 1999. Bill also leaves several maternal Aunts and their families, Tina and Joe Bagley, Linda and Dan Nash, Darlene and Mike Sciolino, Susan and Eric Cole, and Donna Rogers; plus several loving cousins, great Aunts, great Uncles and lots of friends close to his heart that gave him many years of happiness. A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. in the First Congregational Church on Church Street in St. Albans.
