Obituary for Wayne Marshall Corwell
Saint Albans – Wayne Marshall Corwell a longtime area resident passed away Saturday July 30th, 2022, with his daughter by his side.

Born in Highgate Center on November 15th, 1940, he was the son of the late Fabien and Gertrude (Ladue) Corwell. Wayne was 81 years old.

Wayne served as a Green Mountain Boy with the Vermont Army National Guard. He drove tractor trailer most of his life, logging over a million miles traveling all over the United States. He enjoyed driving dump truck for many years into his retirement. Wayne was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of the Abenaki Nation.

Wayne was a wonderful friend known for his quick wit and comical stories. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and going for an evening ride. Wayne especially loved and took great pride in his three grandchildren.

Survivors include his children; David Corwell and his son, Kellan Corwell of Simpsonville, South Carolina, and Heather Wells, her partner Marty Martinez and her children, Emily and Cooper Rocheleau of St. Albans along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his siblings, Richard, Edwin, Fay, Roswell, Mabel and Betty.

Following Wayne’s wishes, there will be no services.

Wayne’s family asks that memorials be made to Bayada Home Health Hospice, 354 Mountain View Drive, Suite 305, Colchester, Vermont 05446.
