St. Albans - Walter W. Northam, 47, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 with his loving family at his side. Walter was born on December 30, 1966 in Lawrence, MA, the son of Gene A. and C. Susan (Stamp) Northam, Sr. Walter was best known for his witty sense of humor, his love of music and his uncanny ability to deliver a speech at any occasion. Walter had a passion for the ocean, treasured family camping trips and enjoyed playing golf. Walter is survived by his wife, Kimberly (Turcotte) Northam of St. Albans; his daughters, Brittany Northam and her fiancée Marc Bessette of St. Albans, Catherine Powers and her husband James and Walter’s granddaughter Quinn Powers of Wabasha, MN; his mother C. Susan Northam of North Andover, MA; brother Gene A. Northam, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Atkinson, NH; sister, Martha Waldrep and her husband David of North Andover, MA; nieces and nephews, Bryan and Kellie Northam, Ben, Adam and Sarah Waldrep and Avery and Parker Daudelin; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lynn and Eric Daudelin of Fairfax and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael and Elaine Williamson of St. Albans. Walt was predeceased by his father, Gene A. Northam, Sr. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 11 Church St. St. Albans with the Rev. Megan Stowe, Pastor officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to attend calling hours at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St. in St. Albans on Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. In appreciation of the support provided to Walter’s granddaughter, Quinn, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Burlington, VT, 16 S.
