GRIEF & HEALING
affirmations to uplift & help you through
each stage of the grieving process.
Fairfield – On Wednesday afternoon, December 17, while in the comfort of her home and surrounded by those near and dear to her heart, Jane left her family to be with her husband Kenneth, and daughter Rita. Jane was born in Bakersfield on May 31, 1932, the daughter of Dolphus and Georgia (Young) Raymo. On August 28, 1950, Jane married the love of her life, Kenneth P. Minor at St. Patrick’s Church in Fairfield. Although Kenneth preceded her in death on June 29, 1994, his spirit and love lived on through Jane for the past 20 years. As a longtime communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Fairfield, her faith and St. Patrick’s were an important part of her life with Kenneth and after his passing. She was friend to many at St. Patrick’s and the Fairfield community-at-large. Jane was educated in Bakersfield and then was on staff at Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans, retiring at the age of 77 following 37 years of service. Her co-workers and students were her other family and she loved going to work every day to share her cooking, wisdom, and life experiences with those around her. While she will certainly be known for her hard work, humor and excellent culinary talents, her most important accomplishment in her life was her family. Grandma Jane leaves behind her grandchildren, Jennifer Archambault of Naples. Florida, Gene Archambault and his wife, Jennifer, of Fairfield, Meg Marshall and her husband, Frank, of East Fairfield, Pierre Archambault of Fairfield, Sarah Sterling and her husband, Allen, of St. Albans; her great-grandchildren (who were by far her pride and joy), Molly, Benoit, Andrew, Renee, Emmet, Lukas and Tate; her sister, Betty Anderson and her husband, Fred, of St. Albans, several special nieces and nephews and son-in-law, George Archambault of Fairfield. Her unconditional love, care, concern and generosity will be missed by us all. In addition to her parents and husband, Ken, Jane was preceded in death by her daughter, Rita Archambault on March 5, 2008, and her brothers Bernard and Bartlett Raymo. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, December 21, 2014, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 22nd at 11:00 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 116 Church Street, Fairfield. The Reverend William P. Giroux will be the celebrant. Interment will be next spring in the family lot in Saint George’s Cemetery in Bakersfield. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Franklin County Home Health Agency, 3 Home Health Circle, St. Albans, Vermont 05478 or the Jim Bashaw Catastrophic Illness Fund, c/o Northwestern Medical Center, Community Relations Office, 133 Fairfield Street, St. Albans, Vermont 05478.
