Georgia – Virginia L. “Ginger” Gagnon a longtime resident of this community passed away Thursday March 13, 2014, at the Northwestern Medical Center with her husband, Mark, at her side, following a brief illness. She was born in Saranac Lake, New York on December 8, 1943, and on May 14, 1962, she married Mark Gagnon. Ginger and Mark were active at the Ascension Parish in Georgia where they headed the annual church craft show. In addition to her husband, Mark, she is survived by a sister-in-law, Madeline Hale of Alexandria, Minnesota. Friends may call on Sunday, March 16, 2014, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 17th at 11:00 A.M. at the Ascension Parish, 3157 Ethan Allen Highway, Georgia. The Reverend Henry P. Furman will be the celebrant. Interment will be later this spring in the family lot in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Enosburg.
