Fletcher - Theresa (Girard) King, 80, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at her home on the King Homestead, Buck Hollow Road in Fletcher, with her loving family at her side. She was born in Dearborn, Michigan, September 21, 1928, daughter of the late Henry and Blanche (Blanchette) Girard. Theresa married Robert J. King on February 27, 1949 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Albans, and made their home at the King Homestead, where Robert, a fifth generation of the King Family, was a longtime dairy farmer and sugar maker. Theresa and Robert were married 56 years when he passed away. Theresa enjoyed playing bingo and cards, taking trips to the casinos, cooking and will be especially remembered for her famous baked beans. She and her husband Rob were longtime and faithful members of Fletcher Grange 473, participating in and working the weekly Tuesday night bingos. Theresa is survived by her seven children and their spouses, Suzanne and Paul Farrar of Poughkeepsie, New York, Sandy and Kelly Lemoine of Highgate Springs, Douglas and Kathy King of Fletcher, Lorrie and Mark Vincelette of Fletcher, Nancy and Ron Renaudette of St. Albans, Kim and Scot Phillips of Westford and Robert “ Bob†and Amy King of Fletcher, three brothers, Henry Girard and Suzanne of St. Albans, Ernest Girard and Bernice of Lyon Mountain, New York and Roger Girard and Nancy of East Hampton, Connecticut, a sister, Corrine Lamphere of St. Johnsbury, sixteen grandchildren, Amy Poulin and her husband, Geoff, Christopher Farrar , Paul Farrar, III, Candi Boucher and her husband, Pat, Randy Lemoine, Alyssa Moy, Devon King, Harrison King, Christina Vincelette, Cory Vincelette, Robert Vincelette, Amanda Renaudette, Jennifer Phillips, Bill Phillips, Andrew King and Chelsea King, seven great grandchildren, Ashley Poulin, Kyle Nichols, Jason Boucher, Michael Boucher, Zoe Vincelette, Anika Hanson and Venec Moy and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Theresa is also survived by her menagerie of pet friends, Rugar, Shadow, Rascal, Fluffy and Rob. In addition to her husband Robert, Theresa was predeceased by her father, Henry Girard on May 5, 1973, her mother, Blanche (Blanchette) Girard Gignac on June 20, 2008, and her brother, Andrew Girard. Theresa’s family would like to thank Sherry Meunier and Jackie Battoe of the Franklin County Home Health Agency for their loving and compassionate support. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, January 12, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Patrick Catholic Church on the Church Road in Fairfield. Interment will be in the King Family lot at Carroll Hill Cemetery in Fairfax. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. in the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St., St. Albans.
