St. Albans - Theresa C. Blouin, 72, a lifelong resident of this area, passed away early Thursday, June 2, 2011, at the Franklin County Rehab Center with her loving family at her side. Born on October 11, 1938, in Highgate, Theresa was the daughter of the late Victor and Yvonne (Gagne) Bilodeau. On October 11, 1958, in Highgate, Theresa married the “Love of her Life”, Octave G. She graduated from the former Highgate High School and then worked for the former Fonda Container Corporation retiring in 2001 following 30 plus years of service. She enjoyed exercising, gardening, knitting, gambling and traveling. Her famous motto was put gas in the car and let's “Shop Til U Drop”. Theresa and husband, Octave, were a team in many ventures, including Blouin Auto Sales and the owning and upkeep of various properties in St. Albans. They enjoyed many years of square dancing together, traveling with friends and were married for 53 years. Very important to Theresa was her family. She had unconditional love for her children and grandchildren. She would do anything for them and was the most compassionate mother/grandmother that one could ever have. Theresa had a very special bond with her daughter, Julie. They had more than a mother/daughter relationship. They were best friends, inseparable and what one didn't think of the other did. They enjoyed many years of having fun, including traveling, shopping, gambling and relaxing by the lake -just enjoying each other’s company. Survivors include her children; Raymond Blouin and his wife, Nicole, of St. Albans; Julie Rollo and her husband, Jeffrey, of St. Albans Bay and Jeffrey Blouin and his companion, Amy Larivee-Eldridge, of Swanton; her grandchildren, Olivia and Sophia Blouin and their mother, Stefanie Burl Blouin; Natasha Blouin and James and Jordan Rollo; her siblings, Doris Nadeau, Pauline Greenia, Louise Smith and her husband, Alton, Alise Estell and her husband, Roger; Reginald Bilodeau and his wife, Susan; Lionel Bilodeau; Germaine Bilodeau and his wife, Giselle, and many many nieces and nephews. Theresa is also survived by her special friends, Marie Root, Gilberte Jette and Henrietta Smith; her sisters-in-law, Marie Bilodeau, Betty Lumbra, Catherine Blouin and Shirley Blouin and her brothers-in-law, Rosaire Gagne and Herbert Blouin.
