Obituary for Theresa C. Blouin - Funeral Held

Theresa C. Blouin St. Albans: A Mass of Christian Burial for Theresa C. Blouin, who passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011, was celebrated Friday, June 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Holy Angels Church, Lake Street, St. Albans with Father Daniel Lakonga officiating. Assisting were her cousin, Rev. Mr. Gabe Gagne, Deacon at St. Mary Parish in St. Albans and Rev. Mr. Duane Langlois, Deacon at Holy Angels. The altar servers included a great nephew, Christopher Constantine, then Normand Blouin and Fabio Choiniere. The Sacred Scriptures from the Old and New Testament and the Holy Gospel were proclaimed by Deacon Gagne. Father Lakonga delivered the homily. Deacon Langlois led the congregation in proclaiming the Profession of Faith. A special selection of hymns included “Wind Beneath My Wings”, “My Soul Is Longing For Your Peace”, “I Danced In The Morning”, “Going Home”, “Precious Lord Take My Hand”, “The Song Of Farewell” and “In The Arms Of The Angels”. The organist was Michael Olmstead and soloist was Jeanne Begnoche. Presenting the offertory gifts were grandchildren, Jordan Rollo and Natasha Blouin. Attending was a delegation from the Department of Children and Families Economic Services Division. Also attending were former co-workers and employees from the former Fonda Container Company, and representatives from UPS, Peoples Trust Company, S.B. Collins, Handy Chevrolet, Handy Toyota, St. Albans Town Highway Department, Dickinson & Branon Dental Care and Efficiency Vermont. Following the Mass, Deacon Langlois read two letters written by Theresa’s daughter, Julie Rollo and granddaughter, Natasha Blouin. Serving as honorary bearers were special friends, Marie Root, Henrietta Smith, Gilberte Jette. The casket bearers included a son Jeffrey Blouin, grandsons, James Rollo and Jordan Rollo and nephews, Paul Gagne, Richard Gagne, Gerald Gagne, Rene Gagne and David Gagne. Theresa’s interment followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery next to her late husband, Octave G. Blouin who passed away February 15, 2010 with committal prayers offered by Father Lakonga and Deacon Gagne. A luncheon was later hosted by the by the Ladies of St. Anne in the Holy Angels Parish Hall. Assisting the Blouin family was the staff of the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans.
