Obituary for Steven Jay Weisser
Steven Jay Weisser, 75, son of the late Paul & Ray (Weinberg) Weisser, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2022 at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester, Vermont.

Steve was born on July 27, 1946 in New York, but resided in Vermont for most of his life.

Steve's abilities greatly exceeded his disabilities. He lit up the world with his kindness and unconditional love. He had a wonderful sense of humor, an uncanny memory for birthdays and sports statistics and an incredible sense of direction. Steve had a mind “like a steel trap”. He loved meeting people, talking with them and hearing about their lives. He liked walking around Church Street chatting with both friends and strangers and held the interest and affection of each person whom he engaged in conversation with. Steve enjoyed watching Boston Red Sox games and going on many trips to Florida.

Steve is survived by his brother, Jeffrey Weisser (Joanne), his sister, Sally Haapanen (Eric), as well as his nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends he met through his time spent with the Howard Center. A special thank you would like to be given to Steve’s caregivers who provided loving and compassionate care to him over the years.

Memorial Services will be held at Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans on August 15th, 2022, at 11:00 A.M.
