Obituary for Scott A. Greenwood

Scott A. Greenwood Richford - Scott A. Greenwood, 36, a lifelong area resident, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 27, 2006, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care with his loving family at his side. He was born in St. Albans, Vermont on June 10, 1970, the son of James Skinner and Judy Greenwood. On December 19, 1997, in Missouri, Scott married the former Jennifer Hood, who survives him. Scott was a 1987 graduate of Missisquoi Valley Union High School. He was employed as a groundskeeper at the Bakersfield Country Club, a flagger for J.A. McDonald Corporation and more recently by the Peerless Clothing Company. Scott was an outdoors person, enjoying golfing, hunting and fishing. He also followed the St. Louis Cardinals and was a huge fan of the New York Giants. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, his favorite driver being Mark Martin. Scott will be remembered for his wit and comical ways. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer, of Richford, his mother, Judy Greenwood, of Richford, his sister, Danielle Lee Sorrells and her husband, Roy, of Yorktown, Virginia, his two brothers, Tony Humphrey of East Richford and Jeremy Humphrey of St. Albans, his uncles, Chris Greenwood and his wife, Carol of Highgate, Raymond “Toppy” Greenwood of Essex Junction, and Roy Greenwood of California, his aunts, Ila Parrotte of St. Albans and Lisa Bushey Ovitt of Highgate, his sister-in-law, Debbie Pebbler and her husband, Marvin of Glendale, Arizona, his brothers-in-law, Chuck Ridgel of Bolton, Missouri and J.D. Gilbert, Jr. of Gulfport, Mississippi, his nephews, Ryan, Riley, Isaiah, Damian, C.J., Steven, Ray, Tony, Bryan and Chris, cousins; Cara, Evony and Lindsey Bushey and Wanda O’Neal, a special friend, Fergie Ferland and many other close friends. Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nanna and Dada Greenwood, his mother-in-law, Betty Hood and his father-in-law, Charles Turner and an uncle, Pa Bushey. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2006, at 11:00 A.M. in the Heald Funeral Chapel, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans. Pastor Roland Ludlam of the Church of the Rock will officiate. Interment will follow in the family lot in Sheldon Village Cemetery. Scott’s family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
