Obituary for Sandra Lynne Townsend
St. Albans: Sandra Lynne Townsend, 43, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015, at her home. Born in Burlington, on March 22, 1971, she was the daughter of Shelley White Tipper and the late Paul G. Tipper, Jr. Sandra was an animal and pet advocate. She especially enjoyed rescuing and finding homes for them. She at one time volunteered with the Franklin County Humane Society. She leaves her mother, Shelley W. Tipper of St. Albans, three daughters, Summer Townsend of Jackson, GA, Kayla Bowman and her husband Josh of Hungerford, TX and Alyssa Townsend of Mableton, GA, three grandchildren, Serenity, Aiden and Willow, her brothers, John Tipper and Christopher Tipper both of St. Albans, her maternal grandmother, Doris H. White of St. Albans; paternal grandfather, Paul Tipper, Sr. and his wife, Laura, of Fairfax and her half-brothers, Paul Tipper of Bristol and Adam Tipper of Milton. Sandra was adopted as an infant by David and Judy Wither, now of Summerfield, Florida. She also leaves her husband, James Townsend of Mableton, Georgia; her brother, Brian Wither and his wife, Tracy, of Belle Meade, New Jersey and her sister, Susan Bosco, of Fredericksburg, Virginia. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans, Saturday, January 31, 2015, for a time of sharing from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.
