Saint Albans - Ruth Andress passed away on August 4, 2012, after a brief illness with her family at her side. She was born in New Brunswick, NJ, the daughter of the late John Louis Nagle and Bessie Siemons Nagle. Ruth worked for many years as a chef at the Sandbar Inn and Restaurant in South Hero and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of St. Albans as a Deaconess, church clerk, Sunday School teacher and sang in the Church Choir. She devoted many years as the church coordinator for Martha’s Kitchen, supplying many meals to the kitchen herself. Ruth is survived by her children Bonnie Fish and husband, Bill, Eloise Camara and husband, Joaquin Jr., Gail Casey and husband, Ned, Lynn Andress and Kurt Andress. Her grandchildren Michael Fish and wife, Ronda, Melissa Patnode and husband, John, Jaime Dearth and husband, Shawn, Janice LaRocque and husband Jeremy, Kevin Casey and wife Kristen, and Joshua Camara. Great-grandchildren Sean Brunelle, Timothy Fish, Kylie Dearth, Anthony Patnode, Sabrina LaRocque, Annabelle and Patrick Casey along with many nieces and nephews and sister in law, Angela Nagle. Ruth was predeceased by a son, Eric Andress and two brothers, John L and Albert Nagle. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St Albans. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 9th, at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church on Congress Street in St. Albans. Interment will immediately follow at the St. Albans Bay Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Vermont Division, Inc. 55 Day Lane, Williston, Vermont 05495.
