Swanton – Rosaire A. Boudreau, a lifelong resident of this area, passed away on September 9, 2015, peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 7, 1937, in Highgate, he was the son of the late Eugene and Maria (Fournier) Boudreau. Rosaire was 77 years old. Rosaire was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters. On May 28, 1960, in St. Louis Catholic Church in Highgate, he married Jacqueline Boucher, who survives him. They worked and shared a life together for 55 years. Rosaire was a Master Electrician and he and his wife operated Boudreau Electric for 32 years, serving Franklin County. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a member of St. Albans Lodge # 1566, B.P.O.E and a former member of St. Albans Lodge # 1205, Fraternal Order of Eagles. Rosaire, being an avid golfer, was also a member of Champlain Country Club. He enjoyed his Sunday foursome at the country club and golfing with the crew in Florida. Survivors include his wife, Jackie, of Swanton; their children, Brian Boudreau and his wife, Dee, of Swanton, Mark Boudreau and his wife, Melanie, of Swanton and Lisa Morton and her husband, Eric, of St. Albans, as well as grandchildren, Connor, Ian, Mitchell, Kaitlyn, Liam and Maia. He loved helping his children and going to all of his grandchildren’s events. Rosaire is also survived by his sister, Sister Frances Boudreau, SSJ of Clarence, NY and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, September 11, 2015, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St, St. Albans. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 45 Fairfield St., St. Albans with Rev. Maurice Roy and Rev. Marcel Rainville con-celebrating. Interment will take place in the family lot at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Franklin County Home Health, Hospice Program, 3 Home Health Circle, St. Albans, VT 05478 or a Memorial Mass for Rosaire.
