Obituary for Robert Sean Mahaney

Robert Sean “Rob” Mahaney Essex/St. Albans - Robert Sean “Rob” Mahaney, 38, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Essex on Wednesday, December 27, 2006. He was born in St. Albans, Vermont on November 19, 1968, the son of Robert B. and Constance J. (Bachand) Mahaney. Rob was a 1986 graduate of Bellows Free Academy and was most recently employed by Climate Systems, Incorporated in Williston. He loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle and looked forward every year to the bike week in Laconia, New Hampshire. Rob was also an avid skier and hunter, spending many days in the Green Mountains skiing with his two loving sons, Joshua and Alex, who he absolutely adored. He was a genuinely kind and loving person, loved by all who knew him. He will be missed dearly. Survivors include his parents, Robert and Constance Mahaney of St. Albans, his two sons, Joshua Currier of Georgia and Alex Mahaney of Milton, his two sisters, Shelley (Mahaney) Goodwin and her husband, Scott of Milton and Tanya (Mahaney) Howrigan and her husband, Michael of Enosburg, as well as a niece, McKenzie Goodwin of Milton and four nephews, Hunter Goodwin of Milton, and Connor, Brayden and Shea Howrigan of Enosburg and many aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends. Rob also leaves special people in his life, Marion “Molly” Vanpelt of Milton, Sara Currier of Georgia, Jerilyn Werzanski of Epson, New Hampshire and Leo Ioannou with Climate Systems Inc. of Williston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at 11:00 A.M. in Holy Angels Catholic Church on Lake Street, St. Albans with the Reverend Maurice J. Roy as celebrant. Interment will be private and at the convenience of his family in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Rob’s family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2- 4 and 7-9 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans.
