St. Albans – Robert M. Flynn a longtime area resident passed away Thursday evening, August 15, 2013, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care surrounded by his family. Born in Stamford, Connecticut, on November 7, 1950, he was the son of the late Milton T. and Dorothy (Carlson) Flynn. Bob was 62 years old. Bob received a Teaching Degree from Johnson State College and then was employed at I.B.M. until he retired to be a care giver for his mother, Dorothy. For the past 18 years he has been employed by Northwest Counseling and Support Services. Bob was also an avid bowler. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn (Renaudette) Flynn of St. Albans; his sister, Deborah Plant and her husband, Philip of St. Albans; two nieces, Stina Booth and her husband, Jason, and their 2 children, Celia and Ada and Kalea Plant and her companion, Randy Coble; his step-children, Eugene Rich, Jr and his wife, Jeannie, of Enosburg; Marshall Rich of Newport and Holly Deso and her husband, Michael, of Enosburg. Bob is also survived by his grandchildren, Eugene Rich, III and his wife, Dayna, Paige Rich, Charli Deso, Kenyon Deso, Chelsea Rich, Ashley Rich, Tanis Rich and his extended family at N.C.S.S. Bob is also survived by close friends, Andre Garceau and Kenny Jacobs as well as his faithful canine companions, Bella and Rosie. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his in-laws, Marshall and Mildred Renaudette. At Bob’s request services will be private at the convenience of his family. Interment will be in the family lot in Milton Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bob’s name to the Franklin County Humane Society, 30 Sunset Meadows, St. Albans, VT 05478.
