Obituary for Rita Marie Hough
St. Albans/Barre – Rita Marie Hough a former resident of St. Albans and more recently of the Hill Street Group Home in Barre passed away Saturday August 10, 2013, with her friends at her side. Born in Barton, on July 17, 1940, she was the daughter of the late, Andrew and Doris (Blair) St. Pierre. Rita was 73 years old. She was married to John Hough, who preceded her in death in 1991. Rita for many years did house cleaning for various families in the St. Albans area and also worked for Gleason Brothers. She was a former member of the Baptist Church of St. Albans and enjoyed dancing, bowling and was known for her love for Elvis Presley. Survivors include her sister, Adrienne Pignato; her niece, Heather Bigelow; her sister, Marie Thibault and her husband, Rolland, and their 5 children, Margaret, Jimmy, Cathy, Monica and Rolland and 15 great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Rita was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew “Sonny†St. Pierre; her step-dad, Richard Smith and her step-mom, Jean St. Pierre. A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at the family lot in Maple Grove Cemetery, Middle Road in Franklin.
