Obituary for Rita M. Archambault

Rita M. Archambault Fairfield - Rita M. Archambault, 55, a lifelong area resident passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, March 5, 2008. She was born in St. Albans, Vermont on April 21, 1952, the daughter of Virginia (Raymo) Minor and the late Kenneth Minor. Rita was a 1970 graduate from Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans. For the past nine years, she was employed at the Fletcher Allen Health Care as a Licensed Nurse Assistant. She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fairfield. Survivors include her mother, Virginia Minor of Fairfield; two sons, Gene Archambault and his wife, Jennifer of Fairfield and Pierre Archambault of Fairfield; three daughters, Jennifer Archambault of Naples, Florida, Meg Marshall and her husband, Frank of East Fairfield and Sarah Sterling and her husband, Allen of Somerset, South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Molly, Ben, Emmet, Tate, Andrew, Renee and Lucas; her former husband, George R. Archambault of Fairfield and many special friends. Rita was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth in 1994. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Patrick’s Church on Church Road in Fairfield. The Reverend Leonidas B. Laroche will be the celebrant. Rita’s family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans.
