Obituary for Raymond J. Lambert

St. Albans - Raymond Joseph Lambert, 97, a resident of this area since 1962, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2008, at the Franklin County Rehab Center following a lengthy illness. Born in Laconia, New Hampshire, on December 26, 1910, Raymond was the son of the late Thomas and Rosie (Racine) Lambert. In 1951 in Burlington, Vermont, Raymond married the former Aurore Benoit, who preceded him in death on November 20, 2006. Raymond was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy in Laconia. He retired in 1962 after nineteen years with the Mighty-Mac Clothing Manufacturing in Lawrence, Massachusetts. After his relocating to St. Albans, he became a communicant of Holy Angels Catholic Church, a member of St. Albans Lodge # 1566, B.P.O.E., was an avid baseball fan and loved to travel. Survivors include his niece; Barbara Breton and her husband, Roger of Laconia, New Hampshire, and two nephews, Richard Lambert and his wife, Sandra of California and Henry Valliere of Somersworth, New Hampshire. In addition to his parents, his wife, Aurore, Raymond was preceded in death by a son, Raymond F. Lambert, Jr. and two brothers, Arthur Lambert and Henry Lambert. St. Albans Lodge # 1566 B.P.O.E. will conduct their ritualistic service on Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at 7:00 P.M. in the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until the time of the service. A graveside service will be on Thursday, August 21, 2008, at 11:00 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Union Avenue, Laconia, New Hampshire. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Silver Towers Camp for Exceptional People, c/o St. Albans Lodge# 1566, B.P.O.E., P.O. Box 87, St. Albans, Vermont 05478.
