Obituary for Patricia Ann Gordon, R.N.
St. Albans - Patricia Ann Gordon, R.N., 69, a lifelong resident of this area passed away early, Wednesday July 7, 2010, at the Northwestern Medical Center with her family at her side. She was born in St. Albans, Vermont on June 24, 1941, the daughter of the late Raymond and Aurelia (Bashaw) Gordon. Pat was a 1959 graduate of Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans and a 1962 graduate of the Heaton Hospital School of Nursing in Montpelier. She then worked for the Gifford Memorial Hospital in Randolph for one year, and then for seventeen years at the former St. Albans Hospital. Pat retired in 1987, after seven years of service in the recovery room at the Northwestern Medical Center. She was a member of the Robert E. Glidden Post # 758, Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her sister, Cassie H. Gordon of St. Albans, her brother, Jeffrey A. Gordon and his wife, Wendy of Springfield, Oregon and their children Jonathan Gordon and his wife, Rachel and their son, Ethan of the State of Washington and Heather Sprague and her husband, Philip of Springfield, Oregon, her God-daughter, Kimberly A. Austin-Johnson of St. Albans, her aunts; Louise Bashaw of Georgia and Janice Gordon of Burlington, close friend, Shelvajean J. Austin of St. Albans , several aunts, uncle and cousins and her canine companion, Shelby. Pat's family will receive friends at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street on Saturday, July 10, 2010, from 10:00 AM until 11: 00 A.M. at which time a funeral service will be held. The Reverend Brian J. O’Donnell, Pastor of the Immaculate Conception, St. Mary’s Parish will officiate.
