Obituary for Mary Lou Vincelette

St. Albans City - Mary Lou Vincelette, 67, a lifelong resident of St. Albans, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday morning, March 24, 2021.

Mary Lou was born on May 19, 1953 in St. Albans, the daughter of Bernard J. and Marion (Bascom) Greenia, Sr. Her marriage to Alan Vincelette took place on November 28, 1970 and they had just recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mary Lou was a very devoted member of the First Baptist Church of St. Albans where she participated in numerous church activities. She especially loved her family and being present at family functions as well as being a foster grandparent. Mary Lou was a great cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. She also enjoyed bingo and gambling.

In addition to her husband, Alan, Mary Lou is survived by her children; Christy Dion and her husband Scott and their children Lacey Wolcott and Myleigh Dion; Dawn Coolbeth and her significant other, Shol Adiang and her children, Brandon Coolbeth, Sierra Coolbeth and Kaleb Coolbeth; Trish Elliott and her husband, Carlton and their children Jacob Elliott and Brooke Elliott; and great grandchildren Carsyn Therriault, Alayna Plouffe, Kasey Plouffe and Myah Plouffe; Alan Vincelette, Jr. and his wife Christine and their children Alan, III., Noah, Isabella and Arayah. Also surviving are Mary Lou’s siblings Thomas Greenia and Bernard Joseph Greenia, Jr.; brothers-in law, David Vincelette and Steven Wright as well as nieces, nephews cousins and close friends, Judy Barkyoumb, Martha Bergeron and Lucille Powers.

Mary Lou was predeceased by her grandson Brett Elliott; siblings, Frankie Greenia, Ingrid Rodd, Bonnie Wasson and Denise Phillips and sister-in-law Rae Mancil.

Funeral service for Mary Lou will be held on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of St. Albans with the Rev. William Simmons officiating. Interment will follow at Hope Cemetery in Georgia. Friends are invited to attend calling hours at the Church on Monday, March 29 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Mary Lou’s service will be live streamed on the following you tube link, https://youtu.be/uABw3VXGFY0 , for those who might wish to participate by viewing at home.
