Obituary for Marshall Joseph Renaudette

St. Albans – Marshall Joseph Renaudette, 87, a lifelong resident of this area, passed away early Monday morning, June 15, 2009, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident on June 1st in St. Albans. His loving family was at his bedside. He was born at St. Albans Bay, Vermont July 21, 1921, the son of the late Alverez and Rosanna (Garceau) Renaudette. Marshall was a retired Master Plumber formerly employed by Carpenter Sprinkler Systems. He also was a brakeman for the Central Vermont Railway. Marshall was an Army veteran of WWII and a member of Robert E. Glidden Post 758, VFW. He was a collector of coins and German Steins. He enjoyed auctions and the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a handyman who could fix anything. Marshall is survived by the love of his life for over 63 years, his wife, Mildred (Jackson) Renaudette, three sons and their wives; Douglas and Linda Renaudette of St. Albans, Daniel and Sheila Renaudette of Walden, VT, and Marcel and Lana Renaudette of Highgate Center, six daughters; Bonnie and her husband, Mick Therrien of Enid, Oklahoma, Carolyn and Robert Flynn of St. Albans, Colleen Zuren of Swanton, Jeannine Renaudette of St. Albans, Karen Renaudette of St. Albans and Penny and her husband, Dale Mashtare of Bloomfield, NY., nineteen grandchildren; Michael and Brett Therrien, Cherie Therrien, Eugene and Marshall Rich, Holly Deso, Nicole Waite, Travis Renaudette, Danielle Kinney, Dana Gagnon, Chris Renaudette, Daniel Renaudette, Joseph Renaudette, Jared Renaudette, Josh Renaudette, Taylor Renaudette, Lucas Mashtare, Keaton Mashtare and Braden Mashtare. He also leaves eighteen great grandchildren, special friends, Sally Lawyer and Sue Stowe and his pups, Muffy, Mitzi, Hannah and Ivy. He was preceded in death by infant twins, Marshall and Marcelina, a grandson, Douglas Rich, brothers, Ernest and Joseph Renaudette, sisters, Irene Pelkey and Yvette Patnode and son-in-law, Eugene Rich, Sr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. in Holy Angels Catholic Church with Pastor Maurice J. Roy as celebrant. Interment will be in the family lot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 to 7 P.M. in the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St., St. Albans.
