Marlene Grace Bocash Fairfax - On Monday, February 5, 2007, Marlene Grace Bocash, 65, a lifelong resident of the area passed away unexpectedly at her home in Fairfax, Vermont. She was born, April 27, 1941, in Fairfield, Vermont to Dorothy (McMahon) and Lawrence Bessette. Marlene attended school in Fairfield. Marlene worked as a home health care provider and in elderly care facilities for many years in St. Albans, Vermont. She enjoyed working with the elderly by helping to ease their loneliness that they often experienced. She always had time for a casual conversation. Marlene is survived by her two sons, Kevin Carmody of Springfield, Massachusetts, Craig Carmody of Charlestown, New Hampshire; and her brother, Bernard Bessette of Fairfax, Vermont. She also leaves four grandchildren: Shawn, Scott, Shannon and Samantha. She was preceded in death by her son, Brian J. Carmody in 1986. Marlene was a loving mother, grandmother and friend, who always had a funny story or joke to tell. She took great pride in cooking for her many friends and family at her home gatherings, especially during the holidays. She spent many happy days crocheting and sewing. She had a passion for her flower garden, and yard sales, and always spending time with her dog, family and friends. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Though she is gone, her spirit will remain with us always. “We Love You Mom,†Brian, Craig, Kevin,â€Grammieâ€, As the Lord calls you home, may you find peace and tranquility. Soar with the Angels. And, shine your light down on us in the early morning sunrise and from the moon-lit sky. Until we meet again ... The Carmody family would like to thank the Bessette family for all their love, care and support. and to all of Marlene’s friends for all their wonderful, caring, friendship through the years. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2007, at 3:00 P.M in the Heald Funeral Chapel, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans with the Reverend Charles Kuthe, Pastor of the Georgia Plain Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be later this spring at the family lot in the St. Albans Bay Cemetery. Marlene’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
