St. Albans & Benson VT/Standish, ME – Mark R. Lussier, a former resident of these communities passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014, as a result of a snowmobile accident in Benson. Born in St. Albans, on February 15, 1965, he was the son of Jacques and Marcelle (Reed) Lussier. Mark was 48 years old. Mark was a 1983 graduate of Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans and at the time of his death was managing the Lussier farm in Benson for the last 2 years with his brother, Paul. Survivors include his parents, Jacques and Marcelle of St. Albans; his children, Shanice and Caleb Lussier and their mother, Neola Lussier all of Standish, ME; his siblings, Denise and Al Pardee, Paul and Kari Lussier, Annette and Perry Smith, Rene and Mary Lussier, Dan Lussier, Lisa and Donald Dill, Peter and Valerie Lussier and John Lussier. Mark is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Celine, Evan and Emily Pardee, Alison Lussier, Nicole, Benjamin and Dustin Smith, Jessica and Tanner Lussier, Elizabeth and Alexa Lussier, Amanda, Shelley, Cameron and Zachary Dill, Sierra Lussier and Alyssa and Joshua Lussier as well as great-nieces and nephews, Tyler, Kylie and Arielle Brodeur and Christian Judd, and special friend, Elsie Mae Norton and her sons, Brian, Jordan and Shawn of Benson. Mark had the ability to make anyone laugh. He could light up the darkest of rooms when he walked through the door. He had a huge heart and adored all children, especially his own and all of his nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered as a loving father, son, uncle and friend. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, January 31, 2014, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 So Main St, St. Albans. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 12 Noon at Holy Angels Church, 245 Lake St, St. Albans with the Reverend Maurice J. Roy as celebrant.
