Marion H. Young Georgia - Marion H. Young, 89, a longtime Georgia resident passed away Sunday, December 9, 2007, at the Franklin County Rehab Center with her loving son, William at her side. She was born in Fairfield, Vermont on July 27, 1918, the daughter of the late William and Lizzie (Hill) Adams. On October 22, 1944, in the Underhill Methodist Church, Marion married Edmund A. Young, who preceded her in death on December 17, 2006. Marion was a member of the Georgia United Methodist Church, the Fairfax-Georgia Quilters Club and the Green Mountain Quilters Guild. She was a former member of the Georgia Grange and Georgia Historical Society. She enjoyed quilting, puzzles and playing cards with her family and friends. Survivors include her son, William of Georgia, her two sisters, Eleanor Webster of Georgia and Elaine Preston and her husband, Dwayne of Fairfax, her step-brother, Delbert Burnor and his wife, Ruby of Georgia, her sister-in-law, Evelyn Sanderson of Burlington and her brothers-in-law, Clarence Young of Waterford, Vermont and Lawrence Trayah of Georgia. She is also survived by special family friends; Leo and Simone Martin and the Juaire family all of Georgia and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and her husband, Marion was preceded in death by three brothers; Kenneth R. Adams, George W. Adams and Robert H. Adams, three sisters; Gladys Trayah, Florence Getty and Dorothy Trayah, her step-sister; Myrtle Young and her step-brother; Robert "Peter" Burnor. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at 11:00 A.M. in the Georgia United Methodist Church on Ethan Allen Highway with the Reverend Samuel S. Newton officiating. Interment will be next spring in the Young family lot in Georgia Plain Cemetery. Marion's family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3-5 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans.
