Swanton - Margaret Selby “Bunny†Moore, 70, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2008, in Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vermont after a tough fight with lung cancer. Bunny was born on Easter Sunday, April 17, 1938, in Cowansville, Quebec to Myrtle, now 93, and the late Rowland Selby. Bunny was a loving wife of nearly 30 years to Ellsworth Moore and loving friend to her sister, Corinne Simonds and husband, Bill, her brother, Steve Selby and wife, Suzanne, and her brother, Tom Selby and partner, Debbie Horning. She was a loving mother and grandmother to her children, Kurt Hall and wife, Anne and their daughter, Selby; and Kelly Hall and partner, Jeff Hubbard and her children, Derek and Ryan Heald; Step-children, Susan Coleman-Smith and her husband, Stephen Smith and her child, McClean Coleman and stepchildren, Bryan and Hilary Smith; David Moore and wife, Heather and his children, Jessica, Jacob and Abigail Moore and stepchildren, Rebecca and Hunter Valley; Kristina Moore and partner, Erik Sheridan and her child, Reace Baker. She will also be missed dearly by Jessie, the family dog. After finishing school in Eastern Townships of Quebec, she married Byron Hall and settled in Enosburg Falls, Vermont where she worked at the jay Peak Ski Area as a ski school administrator and later the family relocated in Portland Maine where she worked as a branch manager of a local bank. She has lived in Swanton, Vermont area for the last 30 years where she helped raise a second family and worked in the family car business with Ellsworth, while volunteering at the Northwestern Medical Center. Bunny was a caring and generous friend to many in our community, as she was a very giving person who never had a bad word to say about anyone and was always eager to help anyone who needed it. She was a very active and strong- willed person who loved being outside working in her gardens and on her arts and crafts business and shooting a good round of golf with her usual foursome. She will be missed by her many friends who shared a Friday afternoon glass of wine and anyone who enjoyed her high energy, great sense of humor and hearty laugh. A Memorial Service to remember Bunny and celebrate her wonderful life will be held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church on Church Street in St. Albans, Vermont on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at 11:30 A.M. with a reception and luncheon to immediately follow in Fellowship Hall of the Church. Pastor Herman Benjamin and Ellsworth’s brother, the Reverend Carroll Moore will co-officiate. Private interment will be later in the day. In accordance with Bunny’s wishes, there will be no visitation.
