St. Albans – Marcel Dennis Gagne, a lifelong area resident passed away Monday evening, September 10, 2012, at the Northwestern Medical Center with his family at his side. He was 77 years old. Marcel was born on December 15, 1934, in Swanton, the son of the late Joseph H. and Dora M. (Gagne) Gagne. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. On October 4, 1958, in Holy Angels Church, Marcel married Beverly Ann Bushey, who survives him. For many years he was employed at Champlain Cable Corporation and retired as a supervisor. He was a former member of St. Albans Lodge 1090, L.O.O.M. Survivors include his wife of fifty-three years, Beverly of St. Albans; their children; Brian Gagne and wife, Kathleen, of Swanton, Kevin Gagne and wife, Korina, of St. Albans, Jason Gagne of St. Albans, Suzette Vautier and husband, Alan, of Blandford, Massachusetts, Jacqueline Tatro and husband, Thomas, of Swanton and Theresa Johnson and special friend, Jeff Budzik of Fairfax, thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Norman Gagne and wife, Mary, of St. Albans, Gloria Tetreau of St. Albans, Gisele Bushey and husband, Walter, of Highgate, Mariette Lemery and husband, Raymond, of St. Albans; his sisters-in-law, Barbara Gagner of Connecticut, Rhoda Gagne of St. Albans and Elaine Gagne of Burlington and also many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Marcel was preceded in death by his sister, Angela Tetreault and brothers, Renee, Claude, Clovis, Andre, Maurice, Jean and Daniel. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, September 14, 2012, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans. A Mass of Christian Burial will then be celebrated on Friday at 1:30 PM in Holy Angels Church, Lake Street. Interment with military honors will follow at the family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
