Madeline Norma Dupont Therrien Fairfield - Madeline Norma Dupont Therrien, 68, a longtime area resident passed away Friday, December 14, 2007, at her home with her loving family at her side. She was born in Pigeon Hill, Quebec on August 28, 1939, the daughter of Edwin and Emily (Larose) Rychard. On September 10, 1955, at St. Anthony’s Church in Sheldon, Vermont, Madeline married Lionel Dupont, who preceded her in death on February 28, 1991. On August 28, 1993, at St. Patrick’s Church in Fairfield, she married Real N. Therrien, who survives her. Madeline was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Fairfield, enjoyed playing cards, doing picture puzzles, vegetable gardening, mowing the lawn and just being outdoors. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, who was always there for her family. Survivors include her husband, Real N. Therrien of Fairfield, two sons; Alain Dupont and his wife, Carol, of St. Albans and James Dupont and his wife, Paula, of Eagle Rock, Missouri, three daughters; Denise Brier and her husband, Robert “Bobâ€, of Sheldon, Wendy Dupont and her companion, Steve Randall, of Sheldon and Helene Parah and her husband, Gus, of St. Albans, two step-daughters, Jeanne Gosselin and her husband, Pete, of Jonesville, Vermont and Nicole Therrien and her husband, Jeffrey King of Melbourne, Florida, her sister, Shirley Rychard of Stanbridge Station, Quebec, her brother, Raymond Rychard and his wife Debbie of Grand Prairie, Alberta, eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and first husband, Lionel, Madeline was preceded in death by her brother, Edwin Rychard in 2007. A special thank you to the Franklin County Home Health Agency and Hospice Program, especially, Mary Bostwick and Mary Ellen Sanders. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fairfield Center. The Reverend Leonidas B. Laroche will be celebrant. Madeline’s family will receive friends on Monday evening from 7-9 P.M. at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin County Home Health Agency and Hospice Program, 3 Home Health Circle, St. Albans, Vermont 05478.
