St. Albans – Lucille Danyow, 89, a lifelong resident of this area passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011, at Redstone Villa following a brief illness. Born on July 28, 1921, in St. Albans, Lucille was the daughter of the late Charles and Mabel (Domey) Viens. Lucille was married to Harold N. Danyow, who preceded her in death on May 1, 2010. Lucille was a 1942 graduate of Bellows Free Academy, member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the Cancer Society Healing Group and a former volunteer for Guardian Ad Litem for Franklin County. Survivors include her daughter, Marie Chappel and her husband, James, of St. Albans; two granddaughters, Michelle and Nicole and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday April 28, 2011, from 7 to 9 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street. A funeral service will be held on Friday April 29th at 11:00 AM in the Heald Funeral Chapel. The Reverend Mr. Duane E. Langlois, will officiate. Honor Lucille’s memory with a contribution to the American Cancer Society, Vermont Division, 55 Day Lane, Williston, Vermont 05495.
