St. Albans - Lorie Anne Guilmette passed away on October 26,2019, at Northwestern Medical Center, surrounded by her family, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatitis.
She was born in St. Albans, Vermont on August 4,1967, the daughter of Linda Cusson Tuttle and Roger Tuttle. Lorie was 52 years old.
Survivors include: her mother Linda Cusson Tuttle of St. Albans, her father Roger Tuttle of Florida, her Son Christopher Guilmette, wife Kali Guilmette, Grandkids Bethanie and Lily Guilmette, Her Brother Josh Dane, longtime partner Aimee Laferriere, Nephew Carson and Niece Makena all of Georgia, Vt, Brother Michael Tuttle his wife Sarah Tuttle, Emma and Ella Redfield, Nephew Alyx Tuttle and wife Mary Tuttle, Niece Kerry Tuttle Of Georgia, Vt, Aunts Sandy Cusson, Katherine Peters, Paulette Brothers, Uncle Bobby Cusson, and many cousins. Two very special Cousins Angel Baldwin and Hannah Nolin, who were her two-favorite people to hang out with. If it was just watching a movie, going to a concert or their annual trip to the fair it always made Lorie happy. Besides family, Lorie will be forever missed by longtime friends that were special to her heart. Lisa Calderwood was not only a friend for over 30 years but they viewed each other as sisters. Rhonda Anthony and Chris Usher were also very special to her.
When at home Lorie found comfort in spending time with her favorite four-legged friends. Some of her favorite things to do were cuddle with Bailey and Sam. These two dogs would help her forget the pain and made her smile with ease. Lorie also loved to feed the racoons and take pictures of them.
Lorie enjoyed spending time at the ocean. During this time, she would watch the sunsets and listen to the waves. She found comfort and tranquility in the fact that even if it was for a short amount of time, she wouldn’t feel pain.
Lorie was pre-deceased by her brother Mark Tuttle, her Grandmothers Margarette Cusson and Yvonne Tuttle, Grandfathers Robert Cusson and Charles Tuttle, Uncles Tommy Tuttle, Charles Tuttle, Aunt Karen Tuttle.
The family of Lorie Guilmette wish to extend our sincere thanks to the doctor and nurses at Northwestern Medical Center for taking such good care of Lorie in her last few days. Their professionalism and compassion will never be forgotten.
In holding to Lorie’s wishes there will be a Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday November 2nd, 2019 from 1-4. The gathering will take place at the Franklin County Senior Center, located at 75 Messenger St. in St. Albans.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to Linda Tuttle. Checks can be made payable to Linda Tuttle at 3 Victoria Lane Apt. 116, St. Albans, VT 05478.
