Linda Sue (Reed) Britch Sheldon - Linda Sue Britch, 48, a life long area resident passed away peacefully early Saturday, February 3, 2007, at her home with her loving family at her side. She was born in St. Albans, Vermont on May 23, 1958, the daughter of the late Frederick R. and Anna (Miller) Reed, Sr. On August 22, 1981, in St. Albans, Linda married Robert W. Britch, Sr., who survives her. Linda was a 1976 graduate of Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans. While living in St. Albans, she operated Linda's Day Care on Nason Street for fifteen years. Until her illness forced her to stop working, she was employed by the Abbey Group, working at the Sheldon Elementary School and then the restaurant. She enjoyed crafts, woodburning and making jewelry. Her greatest joy was cooking for everyone to enjoy, especially her family. Survivors include her husband of twenty-five years, Robert of Sheldon, their son, Robert W. Britch, Jr. and his friend, Christine Jordan of Swanton, her granddaughter, Alexis Hodgdon, her step-daughter, Robbi-Ann Britch of St. Albans, her six sisters, Shirley Bellevue and her husband, Joe of St. Albans, Annette Reed of White River Junction, Wilma Butler and her husband, Fred of St. George, Carol Tatro and her husband, Rick of Richford, Barbara Bovat and her friend, Mark Pynduss of Alburgh and June Mercure of Richford, her three brothers, Stanley Reed and his wife, Fran of Huntington, Alfred Reed and his wife, Sue of Sheldon and Charles Reed of Burlington. Linda is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Patty Edgerly of Springvale, Maine, Jackie Britch and her friend, Jeff Rossetti of Burlington, Cindy Flanders and her husband, Tom of St. Johnsbury, her brothers-in-law, Clifton Britch and his wife, Emily of Swanton, Bill Britch of Richford and Tom Britch of Bakersfield, a special niece, Heather Stanley, many nieces and nephews, two very special friends, Penny L'Esperance of Sheldon and Cathy Fyre of Martinsburg, West Virginia and a very special pet, "Nola". In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sisters, Donna Jerry, Martha King and her brother, Frederick R. Reed, Jr. Linda's family would like to thank the Franklin County Home Health Agency, Hospice Program and it's volunteers, Monarch Medical, the staff of the Fletcher Allen Health Care and the Cold Hollow Family Practice for the wonderful care she received during her illness. A celebration of Linda's life will be held later this spring at her home in Sheldon at a time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Linda's name may be made to the Franklin County Home Health Agency, 3 Home Health Circle, St. Albans, VT 05478.
