St. Albans – Lillian Evon Rocheleau, a lifelong area resident passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at her home with her loving family at her side. Born in St. Albans on December 18, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Alma (Larocque) Gratton. Lillian was 87 years old. Lillian was a clerk for many years with Hallrich Book Store and later with the Bell Store. She was a communicant of Holy Angels Parish, and a member of the Robert E. Glidden Post 758, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Survivors include her children, Stephen LeBlanc and his wife, Sharyne, of St. Albans, Judith Nuttall and her husband, Greg, of Milton, Michael Rocheleau and his wife, Laura, of St. Albans and Alma Gallagher and her husband, James, of St. Albans; her grandchildren, Jason LeBlanc and Bobby Allanigue, Nicole Johnson and her husband, David, Mandi Lebbos, Hillary Nuttall, Dan Gallagher and his wife, Rachel, Dawn Fournier and her husband, R.J. and Jesse and Chad Rocheleau and 10 great-grandchildren. Lillian is also survived by her brother, Raymond Gratton and many many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice; grandson, Luke Gallagher; brothers, Maurice “Baldyâ€, Leo, Henry, Gerard, Oliver “Joe†and Ernest Gratton and her sisters, Lucille Racette, Jeannette Leadbeater, Pearl Lumbra and Theresa Garceau. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 6, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. in Holy Angels Catholic Church, 246 Lake Street. Interment will follow in the family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Franklin County Home Health Agency, Hospice Program, 3 Home Health Circle, St. Albans, VT 05478.
