Obituary for Leo James Jenkins

St. Albans - Leo J. Jenkins, 61, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at his home with his loving family by his side. Leo was born on July 5, 1953 in Massena, NY, the son of Marshall and Margaret (Martin) Jenkins, Jr. On April 13, 1985 he was married to Patricia White. Leo had worked as a mechanic and, also, drove truck for over 20 years, working primarily as an over-the-road hauler. He raced at Airborne Raceway from 2004-2006, with his son, Billy driving #33.In 2006, Leo won the track championship for the Warriors, driving the number 3 car. He was an avid Nascar fan and an animal lover. Leo had a great sense of humor and his favorite motto was “I Am Amazing”. Leo is survived by his wife, Patricia (White) Jenkins of St. Albans, 2 sons, Marshall Jenkins, III and his girlfriend Brandy Arnold of Alburgh and Bill Jenkins and his wife April of Milton; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Arnold Jenkins of Massena, NY and 2 sisters, Annamarie Foster and her husband David and Rosalie Phillips and her husband Terry all of Brasher Falls, NY. In addition to his parents, Leo was predeceased by 2 brothers, George Jenkins and Bobby Jenkins. Friends and relatives are invited to a gathering on Saturday, March 7, 2015, beginning at 1:00 PM at Leo’s home on Bronson Road in St. Albans for a time to share memories.
