Obituary for Larry H. Hunter

Larry H. Hunter St. Albans - Larry H. Hunter, 63, a resident of St. Albans since 1995, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 16, 2008, at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. He was born in Canton, Illinois on July 20, 1944, the son of the late Ralph and Eddie Jo (Greer) Hunter. On July 10, 1982, in Homestead, Florida, Larry married the former Katherine Simpson, who survives him. Larry served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Upon his honorable discharge he became a sales associate for many auto dealerships throughout the country. At the time of his death, he was associated with Paquin Motors in St. Albans. He was a member of Green Mountain Post #1, American Legion, was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed playing cards. Survivors include his wife of twenty-five years, Katherine of St. Albans; a son, Michael Hunter and his wife, Nancy of Chillicothe, Illinois; a daughter, Wendy Siano of Swanton and her companion, Mark Brouillette of Montgomery; a granddaughter, Katherine “Katie” Siano of Swanton; his in-laws, Bernard and Bernadette Simpson of St. Albans; a special aunt, Nig Hill of St. David, Illinois; and a brother and sister. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a brother and sister. Larry’s family will receive friends on Sunday, February 24, 2008, from 1-3 PM at the Hawk’s Nest Community Room, 110 Hawk’s Nest, St. Albans. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Assisting Larry’s family is the Heald Funeral Home and Cremation Service of St. Albans.
