St. Albans:
Larry Charles Bushey, 54, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the University of Vermont Medical Center following several years of declining health.
Born in St. Albans, August 19, 1963, he was a son of Donald & Shirley (Taylor) Bushey.
Larry graduated from Missisquoi Valley Union High School in 1981 and was a former member of the Vermont Army National Guard. Prior to his illness Larry was employed in the construction field. He was a NASCAR enthusiast who enjoyed watching the races and collecting racing memorabilia. He was also very creative and enjoyed building with Legos and assembling model cars. Larry possessed a passion for music and enjoyed listening to country and rock-n-roll.
Larry was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his wife, April, their children and grandchildren.
He leaves his wife, April (Sprague) Bushey, their children, Andrew Barratt and his fiancé, Britany Utter of St. Albans, Ashley Mollett and her fiancé, Brandon Mollett of San Tan Valley, AZ, Philip Katon and his companion, Patty McHaffie-Young of St. Albans, Scott T. Hemond of St. Albans and Dustin Hemond of Richford.
He also leaves his grandchildren, Kodee, Bentley, Mya, Chloe and Landon.
Larry is also survived by his siblings, Tim Flood of St. Albans, Roland Flood of Swanton, Patrick Flood of Swanton and Julie Cummings of Milton and a dear friend, Tammy, whom he considered as a sister. In addition to several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, including his special nieces, Kayla and Raylynn and nephew, Bentley.
