Obituary for Kimberly Marie (Lebel) Covillon

St. Albans Bay – Kimberly Marie (Lebel) Covillon, 44, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 1, 2011, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born on January 21, 1967, in St. Albans, Kim was the daughter of Rose Marie (Nolan) Lebel and the late Claude J. Lebel. Kim was a 1986 graduate of Bellows Free Academy and for the last 15 years has been a production worker for Ben & Jerry’s Homemade, Inc. She had a “Heart of Gold” and was always willing to help those in need. For many years she was involved in several fund raisers at Ben & Jerry’s. Most important to her were her sons and grandchildren. Survivors include her mother, Rose Marie Lebel and her companion, Robert Thomas, of Swanton; her two sons, Aaron Covillon of St. Albans and Christopher Covillon and his fianceé, Kayleigh Costella, of Richford; her grandchildren, Aiden Costella and Orion and Bailey Covillon. Kim is also survived by her sister, Laurie Artus and her husband, Kirk of Fairfield and their two sons, Matthew and Erik; her two brothers, Michael Lebel of Swanton and Randall Lebel and his wife, Kathy, of St. Albans; her longtime companion, Mark Kimball and his children, Kyle Root, Allisa Fairbanks, Alyson Kimball; her many co-workers at Ben & Jerry’s; many special friends and her canine companion, “Daisy Mae”. Kim was preceded in death by her father, Claude, on April 10, 1984, and close friend and Mark’s mother, Carole Bapp, on June 24, 2010. Kim’s family will receive friends on Friday, February 4, 2011, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St., St. Albans. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 5th at 11:00 A.M. in Holy Angels Catholic Church on Lake Street. Spring interment will be in the family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
