June Sylvia Murano St. Albans - June Sylvia Murano, 83, a resident of St. Albans since 1981 passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at Northwestern Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was born in St. Albans July 11, 1923, the daughter of the late Arthur B. and Molly (Hope) Shepard. June was the widow of Gerard F. “Gary†Murano who died December 29, 1997. June was a communicant of Holy Angels Catholic Church. She was an avid golfer and formerly a member of Champlain Country Club and Wolf Run Golf Course (Now Bakersfield Country Club). In her leisure she enjoyed reading and gardening. Survivors include her son, Gerard “Mickey†Murano of St. Albans, two daughters, Jo Ann Minzner and her husband, Raymond of Sugar Grove, Illinois and Penelope Cisar of St. Albans, two sisters, Betty Deslaurier and her husband, Donald of St. Albans and Arcella Bessette of St. Albans, six grandchildren; Gary Murano, Susan Cabuette and her husband, Brian, Amy Jo Fellow, Danny Bennett, Rebecca Cisar and John Cisar. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl Bressette and Ruth Trombley and a brother, Edwin Shepard. A graveside service will be held at the family lot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 14 with Father Maurice J. Roy, Pastor of Holy Angels Catholic Church officiating. There will be no public visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Franklin County Humane Society, 30 Sunset Meadows, St. Albans, VT 05478 .
