Fairfield/Bakersfield – Judy (Parrotte) Albu, 50, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2010, at home with her husband at her side. Born October 9, 1959, the daughter of the late Lewis and Betty (Westover) Parrotte. Judy was a dairy farmer and for many years was an artificial inseminator. She also had worked as a janitor. After finding out she had cancer, she opened “Little TA TA’s Ceramic Store to keep herself busy and in the community. Judy loved to play bingo, scratch tickets and slot machines. Survivors include her husband, Robert Albu of Bakersfield; daughters, Angela Elwood of St. Albans, Amy and Paul Turcotte of Swanton and Annie Parrotte and her partner, Charlie Maxham of St. Albans; her loving grandkids and the joy of her life, Donald Barratt of Bakersfield, Steven Mims of St. Albans, Cyrus Maxham of St. Albans, Micheal, Jessica and Andrew Turcotte of Swanton; her sisters and brothers, Linda Elwood and her husband, Raymond of East Fairfield, Lewis Parrotte and his wife, Cheryl of Ellenburg, NY, Roy Parrotte and his wife, Pauline of St. Albans, Shirley Stine of NY, Elizabeth Dudley and her husband, Hank of St. Albans; her bother-in-law, Brian Albu of Swanton and many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Judy also leaves a very special Aunt, Roseanna Guyette of St. Albans, a special niece, Betty Jo Bessey of Bakersfield and a special friend, Joanne Buskey. Judy was also a foster mother to Anna (Sweeney) Corey and David Bruley. In addition to her parents, Lewis and Betty Parrotte, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lynn Barratt. Judy will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She would help anyone out who needed her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 18, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Angels Catholic Church on Lake Street. Interment will follow in the family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Judy’s family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 P.M. in the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans.
