Joseph August Robtoy St. Albans - Joseph August Robtoy, 63, a lifelong area resident, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 8, 2007, at his home. He was born in St. Albans, Vermont on August 25, 1943, the son of Lillian (Luman) Robtoy and the late Paul Robtoy. Joe entered the National Guard in 1962 and was honorably discharged in 1968. He was a member of Green Mountain Post #1, American Legion and was a communicant of Holy Angels Parish. He recently celebrated 19 years of sobriety and was a member of the Harbor Club. He was an avid bingo player, and enjoyed all his friends at Giordano Manor, The Harbor Club, the girls at Food City and Mary and the crew at Martha’s Kitchen. He had a unique and special way of greeting people. He will be remembered by many as a local trucker before his disability forced retirement. Survivors include his mother, with whom he made his home, Lillian Robtoy of St. Albans, two children, Chad Cameron of Alburgh and Wendy Wagner and her husband, Mike of Swanton, and their mother, Patsy Burritt of Swanton. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sherry (Cameron) Partlow in 1998. He also leaves two sisters and their husbands, Peggy and Thomas Donahue of St. Albans and Paula and Roger Corey of Franklin, a step sister, Rhoda Lamos of St. Albans, six grandchildren; Jesse, Heather, Tosha, Danielle, Chad, Jr., and Tommy. Also other special relatives; nieces, Donna Boutah of Swanton,and his "Laundry Lady", Mary Donahue, uncle and aunt, Ray and Helga Luman of Willingboro, NJ, cousins, Mike and Denise Luman of Syracuse, NY and Pat “Peanut†Luman of Massachusetts, several nieces, nephews and cousins. His father preceded him in death on November 17, 1966. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 12, at 2:00 P.M. in Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father Maurice J. Roy as celebrant. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. prior to the funeral at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street.
