Obituary for Jo-An F. Baillargeon

St. Albans – Jo-An F. Baillargeon, 66, passed away unexpectedly Thursday December 22, 2011, at the Fletcher Allen Health Center with her loving family at her side. She was born on September 1, 1945, in Colchester, the daughter of the late Dewey “Bubby” and Doris “Birdie” (Russin) Hibbard of Milton. On June 23, 1962, in Holy Family Parish in Essex, Jo-An married Armand H. “Ardie” Baillargeon, who survives her. Jo-An was a longtime employee with Abbey Group, and for the past 35+ years has been responsible for the St. Albans City School hot lunch program. She enjoyed crafting and sewing with her many friends. Her greatest enjoyment was her family; especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of forty-nine years, Ardie of St. Albans; their children, Tina Viens and her husband, Bob, of Derry, NH, Kim Manahan and her husband, Will, of St. Albans, Scott Baillargeon and his wife, Beth, of Colchester and Lisa Laroe and her husband, Paul, of Swanton and her nine grandchildren, Patrick Coleman, Jess and Mark Viens, Kiley Baillargeon, Nicholas Laroe, Jenna Baillargeon, Kaity-Jo Laroe, Colin Manahan and Lauren Baillargeon. She is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, from 4 to 7 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday December 28th at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Fairfield Street. The Reverend Brian J. O’Donnell will be the celebrant. Interment will be at the convenience of her family in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
