Obituary for Jessiemae V. Cook

Jessiemae V. Cook St. Albans - Jessiemae V. Cook, 85, a life long area resident passed away on Wednesday October 4, 2006, at the Northwestern Medical Center. She was born in St. Albans, Vermont on May 17, 1921, the daughter of the late Edward and Jessie (Bovat) Decker. She was married to Delbert R. Cook, Sr., who predeceased her on March 24, 1999. Survivors include her three sons; Theodore Cook and his wife, Mary of Colchester, Howard Cook and his wife, Sandy of Colchester and Delbert Cook, Jr. and his wife, Brenda of Sheldon, her two daughters; Beverly Hughes of St. Albans and Ethel Ross and her husband, Robert of Florida, twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Delbert, Jessie was predeceased by her son; Richard E. Cook on November 14, 1988, her grandson; Charles Hughes in May, 1973, her son-in-law; Arthur Hughes on April 16, 2006, her brother; Lynes Decker, her sister; Marjorie Decker, her half brothers; Andrew Burns and Theodore Burns, and her half sisters; Grace Cameron and Mable Jewett. A funeral service will be held on Monday October 9, 2006, at 10:00 A.M. at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street with Pastor Bruce Patterson, of the Northside Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot in Highgate Center Cemetery. Jessie’s family will receive friends on Sunday from 6-9 PM at the funeral home.
