Obituary for Jeanne D. Tatro
Sheldon – Jeanne D. Tatro, 79, a longtime area resident passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 22, 2012, at her home. Born on February 15, 1933, in Swanton, Jeanne was the daughter of the late Olores and Laura (Larocque) Rocheleau. Jeanne was married to Wallace L. Tatro, who preceded her in death on January 29, 1988. Jeanne was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and a meber of the Ladies of St. Anne, enjoyed playing golf and was a former member of the Bakersfield Country Club, was Chaplain and longtime member of the Sheldon Post# 88, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and was a member of the “Keys to Fun” group in Burlington. Survivors include her children, Lawrence C. Tatro of Swanton, Timothy N Tatro and his wife, Anne, of St. Albans, Gene W. Tatro of Sheldon, Lynn Raymo and her husband, Bernard, of Sheldon and Lisa Bushey and her husband, David, of Sheldon; her grandchildren, Amie, Julie, Ariel, Shanna, Lindsey, Jennifer, Shawn, Holly, Jeremy, Alena, Travis, and Adam and her great grandchildren, Troy, Jordan, Chandler, Macey, Pria, Jeffrey, Sawyer, Hunter, Cody, Gracie, Garret, James, Dalton, Katie, Abigale, Alana and Olivia. Jeanne is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Mildred Rocheleau and Patsy Gonyeau, both of St. Albans and also many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Germaine and brothers, Gaston, Roger, Marcel and Gerard. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 26, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Sheldon Springs. The Reverend Roger L. Charbonneau will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery. Those wishing to honor Jeanne’s memory are asked to contribute to the American Heart Association, Vermont Division, 434 Hurricane Lane, Williston, Vermont 05495.
