Obituary for Janet C. (Earle) Bovia

Burlington - Janet C. (Earle) Bovia died peacefully at her home in Tucson, Arizona on June 12, 2011, with her husband, David and son, Sean at her side. Jan gave her cancer a long, tough, and sometimes brilliant fight, and through it all, never uttered a word of self pity or complaint to those she loved most. Janet was born in St. Albans, VT on December 17, 1955, to Catherine and Norman Earle. She was predeceased by her Dad in 1984. Janet graduated from Bellows Free Academy in 1973 and attended Becker College in Worcester, MA. Jan lived in the Burlington area for a number of years before relocating to Andover Ma, then finally to her cherished desert and mountains in the foothills of Tucson. On October 28, 1988 Janet married David Bovia in Stowe VT. They travelled often to places she loved most, including the Turks and Caicos Islands and Las Vegas. Jan loved great restaurants, reading, and tried never to miss a Patriots or Red Sox Game. She had no patience when her teams did not play to their potential. Janet leaves her beloved husband David, who cared for her so completely in the last year of her life. She also leaves her son, Sean, whom she was so proud of and adored with all her heart. She also leaves her mother, Catherine in St. Albans; sister, Gail and Jack Ewell of Shelburne, VT; her sister, Marilyn and Leo Bisson in Williamstown, VT and her brother, Jason and Freebird Earle of Pittsford, VT. She leaves four nephews Ben Ewell, Zachary Ewell, and Kevin Ewell, and Ethan Price. Janet leaves 3 aunts, Sylvia Reynolds, Patty Earle in St. Albans and "Nan" Wilson and her husband, Clarence "Tink" Wilson in Zephyr Hills, Florida. She also leaves her brother-in-law, Gary Bovia in California and sister in law, Pam Bovia, in Massachusetts. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday June 25, 2011, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM in the Heald Funeral Home 87 South Main Street, St. Albans. A memorial service will be held on June 25th at 11:30 AM at Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street in St. Albans. The Reverend Elizabeth Griffith will officiate.
