St. Albans - Jacqueline (Latzke) O'Neill, 70, of Eastview Drive, St. Albans, VT, died peacefully March 3, 2012 after a long illness. She was born August 23, 1941, in Bridgeport, CT and was the daughter of Theodore and Winifred ("Irene") Neary Latzke. She was a graduate of Warren Harding High School in Bridgeport. She moved to Sandy Hook and lived on Buttonball Drive. She worked as an executive secretary for the state of Connecticut, first at Fairfield Hills Hospital and then at Housatonic Adolescent Hospital. She retired in 1995 and moved soon thereafter to Vermont. She is survived by three daughters: Colleen O'Neill Conlan and her husband, James of Vinalhaven, ME, Sharon O'Neill of Fairfax, VT, and Siobhan O'Neill and her husband, Stephen Hensel of Southbury, CT. She is also survived by six beloved grandchildren: Brianna Conlan of Brookline, MA, Niall Conlan of Vinalhaven, ME, Grayson Crounse and Oakley Crounse of Fairfax, VT, and Aidan Hensel and Brady Hensel of Southbury, CT. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Maillet, and her husband, Richard, of Oxford, CT, and several nieces and nephews and their families. She leaves behind her dear friend, Debbie Blouin, of St. Albans, VT. Family and friends with a meaningful connection to Jacqueline are invited to gather at her home at 10 Eastview Drive on Saturday, March 17 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Newtown Fund (PO Box 64, Newtown, CT 06470) or the Newtown Scholarship Fund.
