Obituary for Izora "Darlene" Tracey Reynolds

Saint Albans - Izora “Darlene” Tracey Reynolds was taken into the arms of the Lord on the evening of June 6, 2021 at Northwestern Medical Center following a long fought courageous battle with COPD, with her loving children by her side.

Darlene was born in Glens Falls New York on 8/14/1948, the youngest of six children to Izora (Paige) and Joseph Tracey of Fort Ann / Whitehall NY. Darlene grew up and lived in New York State until she later moved to Vermont where she resided the rest of her life. Darlene had worked as a care giver for elderly several times in her life and she believed that was her true calling in life. She also had worked in several restaurants including most recently Red Top Restaurant in Saint Albans, VT.

Darlene was a selfless, loving and devoted mother to her five children, who along with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, were her entire world. Darlene enjoyed reading her detective stories, listening to Elvis Presley, kitty cats, drinking coffee, and spending time with her loved ones.

Darlene was predeceased by her Parents Izora B. (Paige) Tracey and Joseph P. Tracey, brother-in-law Adin Kellogg, her Brothers George Galusha, Joseph “Junior” Tracey, her sister Joanne (Tracey) Myette and her beloved grandson Ryan Tracey.

Darlene leaves behind her five children; Darlene Wolfe (spouse Dan Kennison), Joseph K. Tracey, David Russell, Albert Russell (wife Tami), and Alicia Russell, Her sister Shirley Hunter (husband bill), Her brother Gerald Galusha, Her niece Gail Benware (husband Mark), sister -in-law Dorothy Tracey, brother-in-law David Myette, her grandchildren; Amanda Walker (fiancé Jim Danyow), Stephanie Walker, Morgan Tracey, Hailey, Katelyn and Daniel, as well as her great grandchildren Audrynna and Steven Walker. Darlene also leaves behind her special friends Mary Gibson, Julie Achey, Ray Cross and last but certainly not least— her beloved kitty cats.

Darlene will be remembered as a strong and determined woman with a great sense of humor, and most of all fun-loving Mother and Grandmother.

Izora Darlene’s family would like to thank the staff at Northwestern Medical Center for their compassion and care throughout her illness over the years. Also, for being so kind to all of her loved ones while they visited her.

A private ceremony to celebrate Darlene’s life will be held for her family and close friends.
