Obituary for Harvey Gene Bohannon

Alburgh/Swanton- Harvey G. Bohannon, 75, a longtime Alburgh resident and more recently of Swanton, died Tues., Nov. 8, 2011, at his home with his loving family at his side. Born in Alburgh Springs, Sept. 23, 1936, he was the son of the late Donald Chester and Mae (Westover) Bohannon. Harvey graduated from Alburgh High School and retired from the Vermont Agency of Transportation in 1996 as a foreman, after over 30 years of service. He was married to the former Louise Rabideau on Dec. 16, 1992 in Alburgh. Harvey enjoyed spending quality time with his family, playing cards, gardening & fishing. Survivors include his wife Louise, his daughters, Bonnie Paquette & husband Richard of Alburgh and Cheryl Loiselle & husband John of Swanton. His step sons Shawn Bourgeois & wife Stephanie of Champlain, NY, & Gary Bourgeois & wife Brandi of W. Chazy, NY , a brother Ray Bohannon & wife Shirley, sisters Bernice Hutchins & husband Ernest & Nellie Lockery all of Alburgh. Grandchildren, Brian Paquette, Corey, Cody & Casey Loiselle, Great Grandchildren, Addison Rose Paquette and Keegan Taylor-Loiselle. Step Grandchildren, Jordeyn & Tyller Bourgeois. He was predeceased by his first wife, Elizabeth “Betty” (Manor) Bohannon, a granddaughter Denise Paquette & a brother, Wayne Bohannon. At his request, a private gathering will be held at the convenience of the family, Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 at the Riverside Cemetery in Swanton.
