Gary A. Leroux Bakersfield - Gary A. Leroux, 52, a lifelong resident of this area, passed away unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, August 29, 2007 at Northwestern Medical Center. He was born in St. Albans June 22, 1955, the son of the late Alberic J. Leroux and Marjorie (Bombard) Leroux. He married Liz Doyle at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in East Fairfield on November 26, 1988. Gary was a forklift mechanic for Liftech Equipment Co. He attended St. Anne’s Elementary School in Swanton and graduated from Missisquoi Valley Union in 1973. He loved being with his family and friends. He enjoyed fixing things, gardening, furniture-making, NASCAR, and watching cartoons and action movies with his boys. In addition to his wife, Liz, Gary is survived by his mother, Marjorie B. Leroux of St. Albans, his sons, Paul and Ale? Leroux of Bakersfield, two brothers; Terry Leroux and his partner, Debbie Nevil of Waterville, and Tommy Leroux and his wife, Suzanne of Orange City, FL. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Rita M. Doyle of East Williston NY, and the following nieces and nephews: Travis, Trevor, Naomi, Adam, Christy, Byron, Heather, Taylor, Karen, Harold, Lynn, Michael, Kelly, Casey, Kelly, Dan, Andy, Caitlin, and Meghan. He will be missed by so many well-loved family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Alberic Leroux and his father-in-law, Paul S. Doyle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 1, 2007, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on Fairfield Street in St. Albans. Interment will be in the family lot in Maple Grove Cemetery in Bakersfield. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to Children's Hospital Boston, 300 Longwood Avenue, Boston, MA 02115. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. in the Heald Funeral Home, 87 So. Main St., St. Albans. Condolences and memories may be sent to the family through www.healdfuneralhome.com.
