G. Robert “Bob†Nemkovich St. Albans - George Robert “Bob†Nemkovich, 61, passed away early Tuesday morning, May 8, 2007 shortly after arrival at Northwestern Medical Center. He was born in Springfield, Vermont February 9, 1946, the son of the late George and Elizabeth Nemkovich. Bob was a systems analyst at International Business Machines in Essex Junction, retiring in 1992. He lived in St. Albans for the past four years, coming from Essex Junction where he resided for the previous eighteen. He loved his family, traveling, and taking pictures of both. Bob took much joy in cooking, working on his lawn, garden, and especially his roses. Bob is survived by his wife, Kathryn (Bombardier) Nemkovich of St. Albans, his sons, Robert of Washington D.C. and David and his wife, Valerie and their daughter, Mia of Portland, Oregon, two stepsons; Michael Gagner of Rutland, Vermont and Jason Gagner and his wife, Shauna and their sons, Mason and Andrew of Nashville, Tennessee. He also leaves a brother, Steven and his wife, Francine Nemkovich of Claremont, New Hampshire, a brother-in-law, Charles Bombardier of South Burlington, and sisters-in-law, Doris Ladue of Greenville, New Hampshire and Betty Bombardier of Salisbury, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 12, 2007, at 11:00 A.M. in Holy Angels Catholic Church with the Reverend Maurice J. Roy as celebrant. Interment will be in the new family lot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 to 7 P.M. in the Heald Funeral Home, 87 So. Main St., St. Albans.
