St. Albans/Zephyrhills, FL – Francis T. “Jakeâ€, “Big Daddy†Doner, passed away Monday, January 11, 2010, at his home in Zephyrhills, with his loving family at his side. Born in St. Albans, Vermont on June 11, 1941, he was the son of the late Francis T. Doner and Agnes (Cameron) Audet. Jake married the former, Cynthia Reynolds, who survives him. Jake served in the Army National Guard of Vermont. He retired from I.B.M. in 1994. Jake was a member of St. Albans Lodge # 1566, B.P.O.E., Green Mountain Post # 1, American Legion, American Veteran’s Association and the Eagles Club. Jake was a part of many biker runs for many charities. He and Cyndi have many, many special biker friends from throughout the country. Survivors include his wife of thirty-eight years, Cyndi; his daughter, Vicky Jo Muzzy and a step-son, Shawn Robitille and his wife, Leona; his sisters, Patricia Baker and Audrey Sears and her husband, Marshall. Jake and Cyndi have eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his special Sturgis friends, Paula Zuccaro and Scott Carson and his feline companion, “Dixie-Leeâ€. In addition to his beloved mother, Agnes and special step-dad, Richard Audet, Jake was preceded in death by five daughters, Peggy, Laurie, Lisa, Debbie and Franny. Jake was a leader and devoted friend to all. Jake’s family would like to mention their niece, Rosemarie White and her husband, Ed, for the love and care giving they have given. Their granddaughter, Morgan will miss Jake’s infectious laugh and handsome blue eyes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 12, 2010, at 10:00 A.M. in Holy Angels Catholic Church on Lake Street with the Reverend Maurice J. Roy as celebrant. Interment with military honors will follow in the family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Jake’s family will receive friends on Friday, June 11, 2010 from, 6-9 P.M. at the Heald Funeral Home 87 South Main Street, St. Albans. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jake’s name to Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 37445 Clinton Avenue, Dade City, Florida 33525. There will a reminder notice in this paper the week before the service. Assisting the Doner family is Raymond “Rett†Heald of the Heald Funeral Home in St. Albans.
