Obituary for Francine C. Gagne

Highgate Center - Francine C. Gagne, 59, lost a courageous battle with cancer Saturday, March 10, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Francine was born July 5, 1952, the daughter of Donat and Eva (Chauvette) Gagne in Princeville, Quebec. Her family moved from Princeville to Highgate Center in 1958. Francine spent many years as a homemaker as well as enjoying gardening, nature, 4 wheeling, traveling and most of all her children and grandchildren. She was full of faith and was most recently a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church in Highgate. Francine is survived by those that meant the most to her, her four children and eleven grandchildren; her daughter, Ann M. Domina and partner, Rene, of Swanton; her sons, Jason J. Gagne and fiancé, Tira Paquette, of Berkshire, Kevin J. Gagne and fiancé, Mindy Church, of Highgate Center, and Mark A. Moulton and wife, Bonnie, of Highgate Center. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Michelle, Brittany, Megan and Austen Domina, Hayley and Ashley Paquette, Jacob Rocheleau, Lauren and Teagan Gagne and Dylan and Logan Moulton; her siblings; Lisa Purdy and husband, Don, of Newton, Connecticut, Carmen Gendron of Plessiville, Quebec, Suzanne Pomerleau and husband, Albert, of Plessiville, Quebec, Giselle Beauregard and husband, Hilaire, of Berkshire, Roger Gagne and partner, Melissa Bonnette, of Enosburg Falls, Andre Gagne and wife, Linda, of Enosburg Falls; her dear friend, Nancy Ward of Highgate Center, many other special friends and her dog, Cricket. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Gagne; brother-in-law, Raymond Gendron, and her beloved dog, Buster in 2011. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Melissa Bonnette, Giselle Beauregard, and Franklin County Home Health for their loving care through Francine's illness. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, from 4:00 to 6:30 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans. A funeral service will then be held in the Heald Chapel at 6:30 PM. The Reverend Elizabeth Griffith will officiate. Interment will be at the convenience of her family in St. Louis Cemetery in Highgate.
