Florence Mary Brown St. Albans - Florence Mary Brown, 80, a lifelong area resident passed away on Monday, November 27, 2006, at the Franklin County Rehab Center with her loving family at her side. She was born in Swanton, Vermont on May 4, 1926, the daughter of the late Clarence K. and Mabel M. (Brow) Bohannon. Florence was married in St. Albans on November 8, 1945, to Herbert A. Brown, who preceded her in death on March 28, 1975. Florence’s family meant a great deal to her and includes her daughter; Gloria J. Brown of St. Albans, her son; Alan P. “Tiny†Brown and his fiancé, Beth Dutton of Alburgh, her four grandchildren; Brandy Brown and her fiancé, Michael Wells and their two children; Taylor and Devin all of Highgate, Christopher Brown and his fiancé; Brandy Paquette of Sheldon, Renée Dutton of Barre and Lucas Dutton and his wife, Erin and their son, Luke Arley of Camp Pendleton, California, her twin sisters; Thelma Smart and Velma Thibault both of Swanton and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Herbert, Florence was preceded in death by her sisters; Beatrice and Dorothy Bohannon and Clara Bruyette on November 12, 2006, and her brothers-in-law; Edward Smart, Hubert Thibault and Robert Bruyette. Florence’s family would like to thank the staff and management of the Franklin County Rehab Center and Holiday House for the 11 ½ years of love and care given during her illness. A special thanks to Sandy Hojaboom, Audrey Jewett and Chris Whalen for being there for Florence and her family. A private funeral service for family members will be held Wednesday November 29, 2006, at 7:00 P.M. in the Heald Funeral Chapel, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans with the Reverend Maurice J. Roy, Pastor of Holy Angels Catholic Church officiating. Interment will be in the Brown family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and close friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Franklin County Rehab Center, 110 Fairfax Road, St. Albans, Vermont 05478.
